The spacious queen room offered a lovely balcony perfect for enjoying meals outdoors, and the kitchen was impressively well-stocked with everything needed for cooking. The location provided easy access to shops and the beach, though the rooms felt somewhat dated and lacked modern aesthetics. The hot water was consistently scalding, which could be a hazard, and while the staff were friendly, there were moments when the room felt a little noisy due to external factors. Not a bad choice overall, but there are areas for improvement.

The proximity to the town centre was so convenient, the staff courteous and the facilities adequate and exceptionally hygienic. The cleaning staff should be commended.. We're looking forward to our next break away in Byron and will be certainly considering staying at the Byron Bay Side Contained budget Motel. I've already recommended the motel to others.
As we are mature age citizens, the stairs were a little difficult - but not impossible.

Units with balcony. A kettle, an iron and a sofa available. Quiet central location, not too far from Byron Beach.

WiFi was slow, but the free parking and friendly staff were great.

The staff were friendly, professional but unobtrusive. The rooms had balconies, and full cooking and laundry facilities. Shower was fabulous. The beds were comfortable. The car parking was an asset. Overall good value for money. It felt safe and secure.
The stove was very slow and no extraction. A microwave would be an asset. Air conditioning would have been a bonus. We bought an extra fan for kitchen bunk area ($8) that really helped. We were above a curry kitchen with strong smells wafting up from it. That and the noise from the adjacent restaurant was intrusive. The room was a bit tired - paint work chipped. Reading lamps by bunks would be an asset.

While the room itself was really only acceptable for backpackers to enjoy, the patio was quite lovely. well aired with a view of a surprisingly pretty car park, without that the hotel would not have been worth the expense.

I had a nice stay with a comfy room and a spacious balcony, perfect for soaking up the sun. I really enjoyed the massage and the beauty treatment they offered, which helped me unwind after a long day. The only downside was the occasional noise from nearby activities, but it didn't take away from my overall experience. 🌞

Great location and room had everything we needed including cooking facilities, laundry facilities and a large balcony. A no noise policy meant it was quiet and relaxing.

The room was clean, comfortable aand handy to everything.
Our room was across from the reserve, we were woken at 4.30am by geese, ducks ? that did not stop squaking till after 7am. I would stay again but not in that room.

The kitchen was well stocked, and the balcony provided a nice spot to relax in the evening. The size of the room felt generous, refreshing after dealing with cramped spaces elsewhere.
The room cleanliness had some oversight, with items like crumbs and dust lingering in corners, and the bathroom could do with a deeper clean. While the balcony was good for lounging, its concrete finish felt less inviting than tiled options. Noise from the diving center below started early. I found the free WiFi to be quite limited, barely keeping up with basic needs in the room.

The rooms are well-equipped for self-catering.
The room cleanliness left much to be desired. I encountered stained towels and bed linen, quite off-putting. The noise from other guests frequently disrupted my sleep, especially during late nights. It was disappointing that I had high expectations given the price I paid, but the overall experience felt more lacklustre than I hoped.

Reading light did not work and no blankets on beds and air con hard to work out. When staff were contacted they were very helpful.

No Air-con would not recommend to anyone in the hot months. Rooms very hot and stuffy. Too many rules and regulations.

I loved the lovely spacious studio that was comfortable and self-contained. The location was perfect, being right on the main high street, yet away from the noisy wedding reception. It provided excellent facilities for self-catering.
The bathroom could have benefitted from more accessibility features.
